HireLabs in collaboration with SFI Group of Philippines and the Government of Bataan recently conducted an online skill assessment study of 628 out of school youth (OSY) in Limay, Bataan. The findings of the study indicated that the OSY is well prepared for labor market. The online skill assessments indicated that the talent pool displays exceptional qualities in:

Originality (mean score = 95%)
Innovation (mean score = 95%)
Teamwork (mean score = 86%)
Adaptability (mean score = 85%)

In addition, the online skill assessments, a set of behavioral interviews were conducted, through which it was observed that the talent pool has:

An ambitious streak and is committed to excel
Professionalism in their mannerisms
An attentive ear

These qualities indicate that Limay is well positioned to produce a healthy talent pool that will go on to service the needs of the labor markets. More details of the project can accessed on:

HireLabs would like to share its findings on Bataan's youth and its skill readiness on any of the upcoming ILO forum and how the same M&E model can be replicated in any other region to determine the skill readiness of the youth in the labor market.
